Building the Kingdom
Celebrating Harvest.
In class today - we started by looking at references to harvest in the bible.
The children discussed in details an extract from Matthew's gospel. (9:37)
'The harvest is truly plentiful, but the laborers are few.'
Afterwards, we recapped on Zinat's visit (from Clifton Road Food Bank) and we thought about what we are grateful in our lives. Then we made pledges about what we would do.
For the rest of the morning, we worked on creating a campaign to encourage people to donate food or money to food banks.
Prayer Service: Throughout the morning. Divya and Elizabeth. Laiba and Esther created a prayer service about harvest, which they delivered to the class.
