As a learning community centred in Christ, we walk hand in hand with God on our journey in faith.
To celebrate the feast day of our class saint, St Augustine of Hippo, we reflected onhis famous words:
"Our hearts are restless until they rest in You."
We talked about how St Augustine teaches us that true happiness comes from knowing, loving and following God. We discussed the people, activities and choices that help us grow closer to God and become the best versions of ourselves.
Each child decorated a heart template and filled it with drawings and wordsrepresenting ways they can grow in faith, learning and kindness. Some childrenchose to include prayer, helping others, spending time with family, showingfriendship and caring for God's world.
We joined our hearts together to create a display called "Year 4 Hearts for God."This reminds us that, like St Augustine, we are all on a journey of faith. Throughprayer, learning and acts of love, we can draw closer to God each day and helpothers to do the same.
Inspired by St Augustine, we will try to make choices that reflect God's love and remember that our hearts find their true home in Him.
