English Martyrs’ School is running a number of events during week commencing 13th November to raise money for ‘Smile Train’.
‘Smile Train’ is an international children’s charity which provides 100% free life-changing cleft-palate repair surgery to children in over 85 developing countries. For more information, visit the ‘Smile Train’ website at www.smiletrain.org.uk.
On Wednesday 15th November, the children will be holding a ‘Dance-a-Thon’ in the morning and a ‘Make a Smile’ art competition in the afternoon. To take part in these events, the children will need to bring £1 to school on the day.
Friday 17th November will be a non-uniform day when the children can wear their own clothes – again, a contribution of £1 is required.
All monies collected from these two events will be sent to ‘Smile Train’
Please help us to support this very worthwhile cause.

Fundraising during Advent
Following on from the success of last year- we are once again raising money to create shoeboxes of goods for the homeless. Any extra money is donated to the centre to buy sleeping bags or other goods they need to keep the centre running.
This year we hope to raise money in 2 ways
- making and selling a product or organising games.
